RC Aircraft engines, like their real counterparts, need to be lightweight and powerful.
These high revving miniatures are available as 2 stroke, 4 stroke, or gasoline. Unlike the vehicle engines, these appear to be smaller only due to the fact that the cooling heads do not need to be as large as they rely on “prop wash” to cool the engine.
