All electric motors require some kind of speed control. As with radio's motors and batteries there are variety of Speed Controls available for your RC Boat. Most Boat modellers use modern ESC's (Electronic Speed Controls). These are by far the best, most efficient, and most widely used in electric RC boats as they offer precise control of the motor, and are completely maintenance free with no setting up required.
